Prospective Strategy

FOCUSES

  • Protecting the underprivileged people, improving their situation and enhancing their abilities to better the life by themselves (a Community of Hope for the underprivileged people)

  • Enhancing communication and promoting the ideal of public services in young volunteers (a Community of Soul for the volunteers)

  • Assisting in community development, encouraging the regards to humans and establishing a self-improvement system in the communities (a Community of Peace for Public Spirit)


PROJECTS

Legal Service Projects
The primary method to protect the benefits of the underprivileged people is legal remedies. On one hand, to present on behalf of them; on one the other hand, to waken their consciousness of law.

  • arranging moot courts and lectures on legal issues;
  • making and exhibiting propagandistic paints to promulgate knowledge on laws;
  • setting offices in the communities where the underprivileged people concentrate and providing periodical free legal consultancy;
  • issuing Warmhearted Card to the underprivileged people and building up the One-to-one Legal Aid System;
  • training local social workers and active residents on laws;
  • acting for the underprivileged people in litigation or arbitration.

Workers' Education Projects
The main part of the underprivileged people is comprised of workers of state-owned enterprises, unemployed workers, retiring workers and workers from rural areas. The underline method to change their poor situation is to improve their working abilities by education. Thereby they could better their life by themselves.

  • setting classrooms in the communities where the workers reside and arranging education workshops on professional skills;
  • setting offices in the local communities and advising on business, finance, law, medicine and so on;
  • training local social workers to provide human resource consulting services;
  • cooperating with the Workers' Union to edit and issue brochures on issues relating to workers;
  • collecting information of working positions and others from various sources and informing the workers.

Recruiting Young Volunteers Projects
Young professionals are the mainstay of our society. A large number of them would like to serve the society in spare time by their professional knowledge and skills. However, in addition to benefit the underprivileged people, to provide public services also provide such youths to communicate and grow up.

  • arranging tea parties as well as other gatherings for the youths to communicate;
  • inviting Chinese and overseas well-known persons to give lectures and discuss with the youths on social development and other topics;
  • bettering the website for easy communication of the youths;
  • cooperating with other organizations for more opportunities for the youths to communicate;
  • providing training programs on social work skills and other systematic training;
  • leading the young professionals to participate public service activities.

Community Development Projects
With the reform of state-owned enterprises and social security system in China, local communities become the main regions of public activities, whose importance is uprising. We enter communities and serve for their development. However, our ultimate goal is to help the communities build up a system for sustaining development.

  • conducting investigation in communities, collecting other background information and making plans for the development of the communities;
  • providing consultancy on environmental protection, public health and other public services in the communities and at the same time encouraging the residents to serve each other;
  • setting offices in the communities and enrolling active residents to participate our services;
  • assisting local social workers and residents to hold various activities and organize any public service groups.
